What is GenerateAudio?

GenerateAudio is a web app that converts text into speech using Google-powered voice models. It is built for creators, teams, and businesses that need natural-sounding voiceovers, narration, podcasts, audiobook workflows, and other spoken-audio projects. For a broader product overview, visit the About the App page.

How do I get started?

Open the app, enter your text, choose a language and voice model, select your audio settings, and generate audio. You can start from the Home page and create an account from My Account if you want access to account-based features such as credit management, operation history, and custom voices.

Do I need an account to use GenerateAudio?

GenerateAudio allows limited trial use without registration, but registered accounts unlock fuller access, including the monthly free package, paid credits, account management, long audio workflows, and custom voice creation where available. If you plan to use the app regularly, an account gives you the most complete workflow.

What are credits and how are they used?

GenerateAudio uses a credit-based system. Credits are deducted based on how much text you process and which voice model you choose. Different models have different costs, so the same amount of credits can produce different character totals depending on the voice you use. Current packages and model costs are listed on the Pricing page.

Do credits expire?

Paid credits do not expire unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase. The app is positioned as a pay-as-you-go service rather than a recurring subscription model, so you can keep unused paid credits for later work. Free monthly credits are different: eligible accounts receive the current free package each month, and unused free credits do not roll over.

Can I get free credits?

GenerateAudio offers an always-free monthly package for eligible users. The eligibility check is performed only once per email address, device and/or IP address. After an eligible account unlocks the package, the current free credit amount refreshes every month. Unused free credits do not roll over to the next month. The exact amount and unlock flow may depend on the current app configuration, sign-up method, and anti-abuse checks, so the Pricing and About the App pages should be treated as the current source of truth for the latest offer.

How do I unlock the free package?

If you sign-up with Google, you get the first part immediately after sign-up. To unlock the remaining credits, make your first Short Audio.
If you sign-up with email address, go to 'My Account', edit your profile and complete the 'Profile Name'. Then go to the 'Home' page and make your first Short Audio.
After that one-time unlock flow is completed for an eligible account, the free package refreshes automatically every month.

What is the difference between Short Audio and Long Audio?

Short Audio is designed for fast, near-instant generation and supports requests up to 5,000 bytes. Long Audio is designed for larger projects and supports requests up to 100,000 bytes using asynchronous processing, which means generation takes longer and completes in the background. If you are comparing the two workflows, the About the App page explains the main limits and use cases.

Which voice models are available?

GenerateAudio currently presents several voice model categories, including Chirp3-HD, Neural2, Wavenet, Standard, and Custom Voices. These options differ in quality, style, and credit cost. If you want a quick model overview, check the voice model breakdown and the current per-character costs on the Pricing page.

Can I use generated audio for commercial projects?

Yes. GenerateAudio states that generated audio may be used for personal or commercial projects. However, you are responsible for making sure you have the rights to the source text, any uploaded voice samples, and your intended use under applicable law and the site's Terms of Use.

What file formats can I download?

GenerateAudio supports WAV (LINEAR16) and MP3 for short audio workflows. Long audio is currently provided in WAV format only. If you need full-quality production output, WAV is the default lossless option used across the site.

How long are audio downloads available?

Generated audio download links are time-limited. Based on the current implementation described on the site, signed download links are available for about 24 hours after generation. If you need to keep your files, download and back them up promptly after processing completes.

Can I create a custom voice?

Yes, if the feature is available for your account. Custom voice creation requires a consent recording and a reference sample, and you must be the voice owner or have lawful permission to use that voice. Custom voices are associated with your account, and the full workflow is described on the Custom Voices page.

Are payments or credits refundable?

Purchased credits are generally non-refundable. If an audio operation fails, the app may automatically refund credits according to its current implementation. For the current service rules, see the Terms of Use.

How do you handle privacy and account deletion?

GenerateAudio explains its data handling in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Users can delete their account from the account area, but some anti-abuse and security records may be retained to protect the service and prevent fraud.

How can I contact support?

You can contact GenerateAudio through the site's existing Contact Us flow. For company and policy background, the site also links to About Us, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Use.
